City of Sacramento, Youth Workforce Development Virtual Resource Center

The goal is to empower the Sacramento Youth citywide with knowledge, resources, opportunities, and support that helps them gain the fundamental basic skills needed when seeking employment in the workforce environment. Through these programs, youth practice newly acquired skills in safe, supportive environments. Adults provide mentoring as youth learn to successfully navigate school, work, community, and life’s day-today challenges and choices.

• Youth Employment Program – Asian Resources 
• Sacramento Works provides employment and education programs for youth ages 16-24 in Sacramento County, with special emphasis on programs serving high-risk youth.
• Sacramento Works paid internship for youth ages 16-21 who are attending high school or college and also have an intellectual, physical, developmental, and/or mental disability.
